The War Within
The War Within is a performance unfolding inside a textile installation that explores inner conflict, the tensions we inhabit, and the forces shaping our relationships with ourselves, others, and the world.
The installation combines textiles treated with wax, pigments, and starches, transforming them into bodies, structures, and spaces that hold the traces of lived conflicts.
During the performance, the body enters into direct dialogue with matter. Movement emerges through listening and responding to weight, tension, contact, and resistance. The performative object becomes an extension of inner conflict: resisting, deforming, and transforming.
Water, salt, and pigment accompany the action as elements of cleansing, protection, and connection.
The work explores how inner experiences take form in the outside world: attachment, resistance, the need to hold on, to let go, and to connect. Moving through conflict and what hurts us can open a space for transformation and inner reconciliation.
